Lone Sound [Drums] mixtape cover

In another Delarge exclusive, we are proud to present a brand new 55 min podcast mix called Lone Sound [Drums] by Neut from the Timbre Mill.

The Timbre Mill studio on the east coast of Australia has been very active in the last six months, lying to rest the slight rumble in favour of an aural assault in both production, and the beloved mixtape. Two DJ’s/Producers, Neut, and Neural, have been busying themselves with numerous projects, the latest being this podcast for Delarge.co.uk.

Neut has assembled 55 minutes of dirty psych drums from the past three decades into a coherent mix, its raw, its loud, its all about the drums. It’s a beat tape, with an eclectic difference… The pair prefer to stay anonymous; focussing on just the music, there’s always something to do, and to listen to. The future will see a debut vinyl release, and more mixtapes to overload your car stereo and ipod. For contact and future releases, visit myspace.com/thetimbremill.

Neut says:
“It’s all about the drums… I like drums… I hope you like drums… If you like these tracks, support the artists, go buy their beats.”

Massive props to Neut for the mix, it’s a corker and thanks for taking the time out to do it.

And also congratulations to the winners in our Dephect Clothing competition, James Green (jacket), Stuart Woodburn (Tshirt) & Simon Tibbles (Tshirt).

This will probably be the last update to Delarge before the all new brand spanking new design and format for the site, which is on its way…

"Long before the LA beat scene threatened to take over the pages of XLR8R, The Glitch Mob was turning heads with its party-starting and hip-hop-informed take on bass music. Now, on the heels of their debut album, Drink the Sea, Ooah, Boreta, and edIT have moved beyond the confines of their Southern California stomping grounds and taken their low-end rumblings to the masses. Fresh off a massive US tour, the boys put together an exclusive mix for the XLR8R podcast, right before they hit the road again for another lengthy run of dates." Link: http://dlrg.co.uk/xl-gm »
